Baby
I'm amazed at the way you love me all the time Maybe I'm afraid
of the way I love you Baby I'm amazed at the the way you fool me
all the time You hung me on a line Maybe I'm amazed at the way I
really need you

Some would call it persistance, others would call it pestering.
They call it Divine Intervention.
In early 2003, Craig sent a copy of his new CD to Leslie's attention
at ATOMIC Magazine in hopes of garnering press for the band. He
included a second copy that was autographed to Leslie personally
and was certain that once she heard his music, she would help with
promotions. He followed up with a phone call, but Leslie gave him
the cold shoulder. A few weeks later, he called again, to see if
she had listened to the CD. Dodging the question, Leslie said she
had sent it to a writer in South Carolina, and that it would be
included in the next issue. Then she promptly hung up on him.
Frustrated and determined, Craig called a week later to see if Leslie
had finally heard his album. Leslie started to give him the brush
off yet again, but Craig called her on the carpet. He told her that
all he wanted was to establish a friendship, and if she was going
to be mean to him, he wouldn't contact her anymore. Suddenly her
heart softened.
The two became friends and corresponded often via Instant Messenger.
Then one day, Craig went to the ATOMIC Website and saw the Editor's
photo for the first time. The phone rang again in New York. 'We're
going to get married,' Craig announced. 'I don't know how I know,
but I know that I know. It's a done deal.' Leslie thought he was
nuts. 'How do you know?' she said, skeptically. Craig replied, 'All
I ask is that you trust me until I give you even one reason not
to.'
They finally met face-to-face in July 2003, and Leslie promptly
relocated to Dallas six weeks later. They give God all the credit
for their meeting. And Leslie still hasn't found a reason not to
trust her future husband.
